We had quite the schedule rolling through last week, so let’s cover what we saw the last few days!

Starting on Thursday, the lady cat volleyball team made their way to Lacey, WA to take on the Saint Martin’s saints, and make no mistakes here, this was the same ole team we’ve seen all year long and they showed it, defeating the saints in 4 sets, ending 3-1.

The Women’s soccer team then made their way up to the emerald city to take on Seattle Pacific University, a matchup that was hard fought by both squads, before an eventual tie was called. They then started off Saturday’s slate as they took on Montana state billings in Montana, again, this was a hard fought match, but in the end the cats dropped this one by a score of 1-0. Their next matchup will be this Thursday, when the Western Oregon

Wolves travel to the burg. You can catch that one at 3pm, and the CWU soccer field.

The lady cat volleyball team played right after, marching straight into Monmouth, Oregon and sweeping the wolves in 3 sets. Your next opportunity to see the volleyball team in action will be this Saturday when they head to Nampa, Idaho to take on the northwest Nazarene nighthawks. You can access the livestream via wildcatsports.com, with the action starting up at noon.

Next on our weekend docket was the women’s rugby team, as they welcomed Lindenwood to Ellensburg in a matchup that would appear to be held down for a while, before Lindenwood would take over and seal the day away with a win. The Women’s rugby squad will next be in action this Sunday, when Boise State travels to Ellensburg. You can access the livestream, once again, at wildcatsports.com, with that matchup beginning at noon.

And finally, your CWU football team was in action Saturday night, taking on the Javelinas of Texas A&M Kingsville, this game ended up being one of the most stressful of the season for wildcat fans, who watched their undefeated squad go down by 10 going into half, without having put anything on the board. This wouldn’t last long though, as the wildcats would battle back, outscoring the Javelinas 21-7 in the final half, and continuing on their path of dominance. The Wildcats will next be in action next Saturday in a clash of the titans between Undefeated Central Washington and Undefeated Texas University – Permian Basin. This matchup will be played in Midland, Texas at noon.

Moving into our slate for the week, you can catch the lady cat soccer team on Thursday, as they compete in their second to last matchup before we host the GNAC tournament next Thursday through Saturday.

The women’s basketball team will be in action for the first time this preseason on Friday when they take on Colorado Mesa this Friday in the first leg of their preseason warmups.
