Iranian Tomb Bombing

-By Ryan Gildersleeve-

103 are dead with 141 injured after a bomb exploded in Kerman, Iran with the explosive going off less than a mile from the tomb of former Iranian leader Qasem Soleimani.

The explosion took place at 11:20 GMT yesterday, and it wasn’t an isolated incident, as there are reports of at least one other explosion taking place, this time only about a kilometer from the site of Soleimani’s tomb.

The tomb has been inspected, and is not damaged in any way, though the distance being so short from the blasts to the tomb makes it easy to assume there may have been some more intent behind this than a random bomb drop.

Soleimani was killed in a 2020 airstrike issued by then President Donald Trump in the midst of the United States’ and Iran’s shaky tensions during that period.

Not much else is known regarding this situation as of now, but as we learn more, we’ll keep you updated, here on News Central.
