Yesterday, Hunter Biden was charged with three felony charges and six misdemeanors by the Department of Justice for tax evasion.
The indictment filed in California is accusing Hunter of failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes over a 4 year period. If convicted, he faces up to 17 years in prison.
The indictment claims that instead of paying this amount in taxes, he used it on a lavish lifestile full of, "drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, and clothing."
Biden's lawyer Abbe Lowell stated that he has already repaid his taxes in full and that this indictment is simply politically motivated. He goes on to say that, "If Hunter's last name was anything other than Biden, the charges in Delaware, and now California, would not have been brought."
