(NBC) Three members of the American Association of University Professors will visit the University of Missouri to investigate into the firing of Melissa Click following her stopping of a student journalist during a protest on university campus. She has stated, “In their decision to terminate my employment, the curators bowed to conservative voices that seek to tarnish my stellar 12-year record at MU. Instead of disciplining me for conduct that does not ‘meet expectations for a university faculty member,’ the curators are punishing me for standing with students who have drawn attention to the issue of overt racism at the University of Missouri.” Click says she is being used as a “scapegoat” and that the administrators are using her to distract from the larger issues on campus. She apologized for her actions, but will not apologize for standing up for and supporting black students who experience racism at the university.

(NPR) Carly Fiorina has endorsed Texas Senator Ted Cruz, saying that Trump and Clinton are one-in-the-same and that Cruz has the only realistic chance of beating current GOP front runner Trump. Cruz is known for being a staunch conservative who even some members in his own party see as being too far right, to which Fiorina says, “You go, Ted!”

(CNN) George Martin, often referred to as the fifth Beatle, passed away at 90-years old. He was the producer for The Beatles, signed them in 1962, and contributed to 23 Number 1 Hits in the U.S. and 30 Number 1’s in the U.K. He was unafraid to experiment with The Beatles and added the string section to McCartney’s “Yesterday” and the backward tape loops with Lennon on “Tomorrow Never Knows.” He also worked with such acts as Peter Sellers, Shirley Bassey, America, Cheap Trick, Jeff Beck, and Celina Dion.
