MAJOR STORMS IN PARTS OF COUNTRY

(NBC) The Mississippi Valley area has been hit by major storm systems this week. Baseball and golf ball size hail, high winds, and tornadoes all hit Texas.

There are storm watches all across Texas and spanning up to North Missouri.

Five twisters have been reported in Kansas, Texas, Missouri, and up in Indiana. 90 mph winds have been recorded in some areas.

Crews are working in Oklahoma to restore downed power lines, and a couple dozen flights have been cancelled at Will Rogers World Airport.

OLYMPICS ARE 100 DAYS AWAY

(CNN) Brazil is finding some troubles, ranging from water sources clogged with debris which could threaten to sicken athletes, the outbreak of the Zika virus, and the political revolution which could possibly see the ousting of Dilma Rousseff, the country’s President.

But there is good news: the facility is 98% complete and has stayed under budget, and it is still expected that at least half a million tourists will arrive in Rio.

CNN reports Brazil is in its worst recession since the 1930s by some measures. Government data released at the start of April showed industrial output down by 9% year-on-year. The World Bank says the shrinking of Brazil’s economy by 3.8% last year represents its worst performance since 1981.

85,000 soldiers and police will be on duty during the games to ensure security.

ANOTHER SUPER TUESDAY IN THE BAG

(CNN) The frontrunners Trump and Clinton took home big numbers yesterday in the 5 state primaries.

Trump swept all five states:: Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

Clinton got all the same states except Rhode Island, which went to Sanders.

PARIS TERROR SUSPECT REPORTEDLY READY TO TALK

(FOX) Salah Abdeslam is the lone terrorist who survived the Paris attacks.

His lawyers say he is “falling apart.” They say he isn’t a leader, but rather a follower and wishes to explain how he became radicalized and his role in the attacks.

However, he will not take responsibility for the other terrorists’ actions. He will not be judged for the other actions simply because he is the only survivor, according to his lawyer Frank Berton.

Abdeslam was arrested after four months on the run, just four days before the Brussels airport attacks.
