DIRK DASTARDLY’S DATING DO’S & DON’TS FOR DUDES

April 18, 2016

How many times have you been on a date dude, and even though you’re broke or don’t have the disposable income you would like, you still dish out the green for the date? Me too dude, me too. It happens, especially as broke college dudes. So, this week I’m doing things a little differently, telling you the don’t before the do regarding paying on dates.

33. DON’T be afraid or too stubborn, or stuck in gender stereotypes to think you always have to pay on a date. Now first dates do typically tend to be the guy paying, but I’ve been on dates where the woman asked me out and refused to let me pay. Hey, I’m not complaining or arguing, she wants to pay I’ll let her. And as you and the lucky lady go on more dates it becomes much more common and appropriate for you guys to switch on paying for whatever the night holds, food, a movie, or even a concert.

33. DO remain courteous and keep your tab reasonable. Just because she is paying doesn’t mean you go and order the most expensive items you can find, like the New York steak or a top-shelf whiskey. That’s going to be a sure-fire way to send her in the opposite direction. So, if she wants to pay let her, but remain the gentleman dude I know you can be and keep your prices down to a reasonable level.

Shazam! That does it dudes. Follow these simple tips and I promise your lady is going to view you as a man worth her time. And isn’t that what we want?

Same time, same spot next week. Mondays 720pm on The Garage and right here on 88.1 The Burg’s blog. Until then….stay Dastardly dudes!
