IN THE PIT WITH XANDER: IRON MAIDEN OBLITERATES THE TACOMA DOME

April 15, 2016

Legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden made it’s way to Tacoma in fashionable style. The band has their own Boeing 747 aptly named ‘Ed Force One,’ in honor of their longtime mascot Eddie the Head Hunter. Piloting Ed Force One is non other than Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson. . . Not to be confused with another Seattle based pilot who shares the same name.

To best describe Iron Maiden live is this. . . Phenomenal! Dickinson hasn’t lost a step when belting out high pitched vocals during classics such as The Trooper. . . Which the band played in front of a sold out crowd in the legendary Tacoma Dome. Sadly, Run to the Hills wasn’t played. But that didn’t stop fans from all over the state of Washington flocking in droves, to witness one of the greatest heavy metal bands to have ever graced the stage. It’s not hard to see why Iron Maiden has the devout fan base it has.

Iron Maiden is currently on a world wide tour in support of their latest album, Book of Souls.
