YET ANOTHER SHOOTING IN THE UNITED STATES
Two Maryland malls were the locations of two shootings Friday morning. Right now police do not know if the two shootings are related, and no suspects are in custody.
Three people were shot at one of the locations, one of those victims has died, while a woman was killed at the other. The malls are only eight miles apart.
Police do know the first location, where the three people were injured, was the result of some sort of dispute between individuals.
Police have asked for the FBI to help in collecting forensic evidence.
This story is still developing and we will bring you more details as they emerge.
US ECONOMY SEES JOBS ADDED, LESS THAN EXPECTED
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the US economy added 160,000 jobs in April. That’s less than analysts projected.
The unemployment rate remained steady at 5%. According to NPR the economy has been averaging 250,000 more jobs a month over the past 6 months.
February and March’s job gains were reduced to reflect 233,000 instead of 245,000 in February and from 215,000 to 208,000 in March. 19,000 jobs less than originally reported.
This slow rise could be chalked up to tepid growth. April had the weakest job gain since September.
Professional and business services, as well as healthcare and financial activities saw the strongest growth, while the mining industry lost around 7,000 jobs.
Good news for college students though, Charles Lane says the prospects for getting a good paying job in your career field are better now than they’ve looked in a decade. Most sectors, expect energy, are looking to hire young talent.
CLINTON’S TOP AIDE INTERVIEWED BY FBI
Huma Abedin was one of Clinton’s closest aides while she served as Secretary of State. Abedin was the deputy chief of staff.
The FBI interviewed her regarding the investigation into Clinton’s private server and the email scandal.
A Romanian hacker has claimed to have accessed the server twice, however it is still unclear as to how credible a known criminal’s testimony would be.
The investigation is expected to be nearing its end, already lasting longer than the investigation into JFK’s murder.
A federal judge has said that Clinton may be ordered to testify under oath. Clinton has long claimed she did nothing wrong and while the private server was a mistake, it was allowed by the state department.
However, other reports say this private server was against President Obama’s orders.
Kyle Scott will cover more on this during the political news segment.
And finally it was just reported that former Republican Presidential hopeful Lindsay Graham will not support Trump, or Clinton for that matter. While former Vice President Dick Cheney says he will be supporting the presumptive Republican candidate, Donald Trump.
