The football season ends on a high note for the ‘mile high’ as Peyton Manning comes out on top with the Denver Broncos, just like Ray Lewis, Michael Strahan, and Bronco legend and General Manager John Elway. Denver defeated Carolina last night in Super Bowl 50: 24-10 in what many considered Manning’s final NFL. Elway became the first person in history to win a Super Bowl ring both as a player and as a General Manager.
(CNN) A powerful storm coming off the Atlantic ocean is hitting the East coast again and is expected to drop as much as 18 inches of snow. Winds could reach a staggering 50 miles per hour. Flooding has occurred in some areas with videos surfacing of Washington Street being completely submerged. According to FlightAware.com, more than 300 flights were canceled Monday at Boston Logan International Airport.
(FOX) In the NASA-owned and operated Johnson Space Center Newsletter, the phrase ‘Jesus is our life’ caused controversy when the JSC Praise and Worship Club used the phrase as the theme for their upcoming meeting. The group has been gathering since 2001 during lunch hours to pray, sing, and read scripture. The Liberty Institute, which is one of the nation’s largest liberty law firms, is now threatening a lawsuit against NASA. The legal team at NASA says that including the name Jesus in the newsletter makes the announcement “sectarian” or “denominational.”
