(FOX) A rare white giraffe has been spotted at the Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. The animal has a condition known as leucism, which refers to the inability of surface skin cells to produce pigmentation. The young female giraffe has been named Omo after a local laundry detergent and she is healthy and doing well.
(CNN) At 8 am on Tuesday morning a shooter was reported at the Naval Center in San Diego. Public Affairs Specialist for the US Navy Kevin Dixon says that multiple gunshots were heard in Building 26 in the Medical Center. There is no information as to any people being injured or how many were in the building where the shooting took place.
(Daily Record) Ellensburg School District’s proposed capital technology levy, which is aimed to provide all grades with better technological equipment, is on a special ballot that was mailed out late last week. The estimated cost of the program is 4 million dollars. There are two levies: one deals with the technology improvement and the other is geared towards money to help with technology maintenance.
(FOX) Three men who escaped from a prison in California last week are still at large and authorities are now offering a substantial reward for any information leading to their arrest. The men are believed to be in the Orange County area, which makes this a fairly difficult search. All men are in prison for violent crimes and should be considered extremely dangerous.
