With lyrics like, “play the music of Jah in the harvest time! Come with sweet melodies to ease your mind,” it’s clear to this band’s desire to raise consciousness through their music.
Originally started by brothers Steven Rene Jacobo (lead singer) and Tony-Ray Jacobo (keyboard/vocals/producer), Tribal Seeds now also consists of Victor Navarro on bass, Carlos Verdugo on drums, E.N Young on keyboard/vocals, and Ryan Gonzo on guitar. Together, the band has toured throughout the United States as well as Mexico, Aruba, and Guam.
Tribal Seeds has become known for their chill, feel good, rock vibe and spiritually driven lyrics. This refreshing combination infused with the root style of reggae music has earned them multiple records that have made their way onto the Billboard Reggae Charts.
Their debut 2008 self titled album and their 2009 released album “Harvest” were both named in the iTunes “Best Of” categories in the Reggae genre for their respected years. The band’s most recent album “Representing” debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Reggae Charts.
With eleven years now in the music industry, the band has shared the stage with Atmosphere, Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Skrillex, and more.
