Our radio station is one of broad interests, tastes and flavors. The radio station features everything from hip hop to indie to punk rock. There’s something for everyone at 88.1 The ‘Burg. We sought to keep ‘Burgstock the same. We’ve got industrial rock, hip hop and alternative. The bill even includes honkytonk blues, and that’s where The Dogtown Two comes in.
Formed in 2011 the duo consists of Titus Fields and Duane Martin Harbick. Both gentlemen are from the Ellensburg area and named themselves The Dogtown Two because they hail from the “wrong” side of the railroad tracks (Thorpe) that some refer to as “Dogtown.”
Fields covers the vocals, guitar and when the mood strikes him, mandolin and washboard. Harbick also contributes vocally and plays guitar and steel guitar.
Not surprisingly, the two the gentleman get their musical influence from old time folk, blues, country and even some contemporary rock. This sort of music runs thick through their veins, both having grown up rurally, building stuff, growing stuff and getting their hands dirty.
Drinking, gambling, womanizing and perhaps regret in participating in any of those activities are common themes in their music. So grab a beer, sit down and cool off to The Dogtown Two after a looooong day’s work.
Mosey on down to ‘Burgstock, this Saturday, April 27th at Prosody Events for a chance to win Sasquatch tickets and to see The Dogtown Two compete for the ultimate prize.
